US Customs require a Surety Bond to secure the duty amounts, if found different than declared before liquidation of the entry.

Generally regular importers obtain it for an year term and have it filed under their EIN (Employer’s Identification No.) in customs records so that they don’t have to obtain one for every single entry. We do provide this term bond from the insurance company at an additional fee and get it filed with customs under the importer’s EIN#.
